Karen graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. From here she spent 2 years working at Cadham Provincial Laboratory in Medical Microbiology, realizing she wanted more patient contact, she returned to the University of Manitoba and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation Degree in Respiratory Therapy. In 2012 Karen received her Certified Respiratory Educator designation and uses this in her current position as a Respiratory Educator.
I am so lucky to call myself an RRT and be able to work in rural Manitoba, specializing in chronic disease management and smoking cessation. I love living on a farm with my husband and son. Living in the country is the best place to live and being able to work with so many great physicians and allied health specialties. What we have here in Morden is so unique and I am proud to be a part of it.
