Kathryn Penner
Chronic Disease Management Clinician
Kathryn Penner was raised in a small rural community in Southern Manitoba. Following graduation, her desire to help people and strong belief in the importance of a healthy lifestyle lead her to the Human Ecology, Foods and Nutrition program at the University of Manitoba. After graduating she went on to complete her dietetic internship at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Kathryn is currently a member of the College of Dietitians of Manitoba and has been a Certified Diabetes Educator for over 20 years. After successfully completing her dietetic internship at St. Boniface Hospital in 1995 she went on to work at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg. Missing the rural lifestyle and sense of community, shortly after Boundary Trails Health Centre opened its doors in 2001, Kathryn accepted a position as the Chronic Disease Dietitian. She has been privileged to meet and support many of those living with chronic health conditions in Southern Manitoba for the past 20 years.
Kathryn is excited to be a part of the My Health Team as the new Chronic Disease Management Clinician at Morden Menzies Medical Centre.
Kathryn has lived with her husband and daughter in the beautiful city of Morden for the last 20 years. When away from work she enjoys staying active outdoors by walking, biking, and gardening. Kathryn also enjoys reading, golfing and traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
