Dr. Nizar Abazid

Dr. Nizar Abazid is a pediatrician with specialized training in neonatology and more than 20 years of experience in the Canadian health system. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University in Syria in 1996 and completed a four-year pediatric residency. He moved to Canada in 2007 and pursued fellowship training in neonatology in Halifax and advanced training in neonatal transport in Toronto. Since 2012, Dr. Abazid has been practicing at Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital, where he has provided expert care in pediatrics and mostly neonatology. Dr Abazid is passionate about supporting families and dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children.
